The Roborock Dyad Pro is our latest offering in our stick vacuum line. The Roborock Dyad Pro wet and dry vacuum cleaner is the successor to the Roborock Dyad, a revolutionary product in the wet/dry vacuum world. There are several key differences between the Roborock Dyad Pro and its predecessor, outlined in our Roborock comparison.
See why the Roborock Dyad Pro wet and dry vacuum cleaner is the perfect companion for your other Roborock products, like the Roborock S7 or S8 Pro Ultra robotic vacuums.
It performs a different task than your Roborock vacuums and is intended for hardwood, softwood or laminate flooring.
Introduction to the Roborock Dyad Pro
The Roborock Dyad Pro was designed to tackle the worst of spills with two rollers, one to roll through and suck up the spills and the other to dry the floor afterwards. Additionally, both of the cleaning brushes on the Roborock Dyad Pro are self-cleaning, meaning they’ll spin together to release the dirt into the holding tank while cleaning your floors. No more tracking dirt and grime across the house and having to go back for a second go at it.
The Roborock Dyad Pro also has a wider edge-to-edge cleaning of 2mm, rather than the 1mm width of its predecessor. It also features three rollers, one wide roller at the front and two other rollers in behind that clean to the edge of the cleaning head. This leaves dirt and spillages with no escape and makes your cleaning day easier and faster.
The Roborock Dyad Pro also features a push-pull cleaning motion, enabling you to clean wet spills with the ‘push’ motion and then dry the floor with the ‘pull’ motion. You also don’t have to worry about cleaning your Dyad Pro, as it will do it all for you! Simply put it in the docking station, then the Roborock Dyad Pro will separate it’s solid waste from it’s liquid waste, as part of it’s self-cleaning process.
Combined with a whole host of other cool features, the Roborock Dyad Pro is the ultimate wet and dry vacuum cleaner, ready to tackle any messes that you or the family make! Let’s take a deep dive into why you need the Roborock Dyad Pro in your cleaning arsenal.
Design & Build Quality
If you’ve been searching for an upright wet and dry vacuum cleaner that will tackle even the toughest stains, the Roborock Dyad Pro must be on your list. Designed to be easy to assemble and disassemble, the vacuum cleaner is made from various plastics and metals, with a detachable handle. The rectangular cardboard box the unit comes in can be re-used to easily store it out of the way, although its total width of 310mm x 270mm x 1110mm can fit into almost any airing cupboard.
It also features a docking station that serves as a self-cleaning station, bringing the total dimensions to 360 x 322 x 1160. At just over 10.5 pounds, the Roborock Dyad Pro isn’t the lightest. Still, considering its onboard chamber of a 900ml clean water tank and 770ml dirt tank, the self-cleaning capabilities are a compromise over weight reduction.
The rubberised wheels of the vacuum make it easy to roll along the floor without causing damage or scratches. The edge-to-edge brushes mean it can butt up against walls and baseboards without missing any debris. All in all, despite the weight of the Roborock Dyad Pro, its sleek and low-footprint design makes it perfect for the average home airing cupboard!
Advanced Cleaning Technology
Several cleaning technology improvements have been made over the Roborock Dyad, as Roborock addressed some key flaws in their first iteration of stand-up wet and dry vacuum cleaners. Notably, the ‘dry’ rollers on the Roborock Dyad Pro are now self-drying, meaning they don’t trap odours in the brushes, giving them a longer lifespan. The three-brush combination mentioned above is also new to the Dyad Pro, as is the 1mm edge-to-edge cleaning capability.
The Roborock Dyad Pro solves the problem of constantly needing to change detergent cartridges, as this machine uses a dispenser that automatically adjusts based on what it’s cleaning, which is determined by frontal sensors on the Roborock Dyad Pro that note the height of the spilled debris and fires out cleaning solution over the roller heads to effectively wipe up the liquid with the first push of the vacuum.
At 260W, its brushless motor can achieve 17 Pascals of suction, allowing you to pick up most small dry trash like cereal without issue.
Versatile Cleaning Modes
Three cleaning modes on the Roborock Dyad Pro wet and dry vacuum can be selected upon start-up. These are: “AUTO”, “ECO”, “MAX”, and “FLOOR DRY”. Each mode can be quickly changed at the press of a button, although AUTO is best for most applications unless you have mopped a whole floor. In that case, using ‘FLOOR DRY’ is best.
In AUTO mode, the intensity of the suction of the vacuum and water that it uses to clean the floor is based upon calculations made by the onboard frontal sensors. The ECO mode is designed for less heavy-duty cleaning jobs or simply a quick runaround with the cleaner before company arrives.
In “MAX” mode, your Roborock Dyad Pro will engage all 17 Pascals of suction and run each brush independently, as well as automatically expelling more water and detergent to tackle thicker wet messes like syrup. When it comes time to dry the floor, switch to the “Floor Dry” setting.
Cordless Convenience
Unlike many other wet and dry vacuum cleaners, the Robrock Dyad Pro offers the convenience of being completely cordless. The only cord necessary comes in the initial setup when the charging unit must be plugged into the wall socket to enable device charging.
The average time to charge the Roborock Dyad Pro is roughly four hours, with an average run time of 45 minutes. It will run for less than that on MAX power and more on ECO mode.
Long Battery Life
Considering how hard the Roborock Dyad Pro works when running, with three brushes constantly moving and covering a wide area. The average of 45 minutes of battery life isn’t too bad for automatically dispensing detergent and water! Particularly for a cordless wet and dry vacuum packed with this much functionality.
Thanks to the added app functionality of the Roborock Dyad Pro, you can schedule the self-cleaning function to occur while it’s charging or after it has reached a full charge.
In terms of space, the battery life will allow you to clean roughly 280 square meters, including mopping up a soaking wet bathroom floor after a shower or bath.
User-Friendly Controls
One of the best features of the Roborock Dyad Pro is its user-friendliness, from initial setup to everyday use. The controls are simple touch buttons that allow you to start operating the Roborock Dyad Pro immediately, including in floor-drying mode, which begins with a simple button press, extending the large front rubber bar, which draws water back into the suction system by pulling the vacuum toward you.
Other user-friendly controls include a digital display on the front of the Dyad Pro, which tells you how hard the vacuum will have to work to collect the debris in front of it. It will also give you digital readouts of the space left in the collection tanks.
You also don’t have to worry about any guesswork with how the Dyad Pro is performing, as it offers voice readouts that will tell you when the dirt tank needs to be emptied, when its battery level is low, or if it is cleaning the rollers.
Noise Level
Regarding noise level, the Roborock Dyad Pro would not be suitable for use around sleeping children. At its maximum power output, the average decibel reading was 71dB. In ECO mode, it hits 68 decibels.
However, the Roborock Dyad Pro has two self-drying modes that offer different decibel outputs - their normal self-dry mode is ‘silent’ at 37 decibels. In contrast, fast drying has an output of 53 decibels.
Maintenance and Care
One of the greatest assets the Roborock Dyad Pro brings to your cleaning routine is that it's a minimal maintenance machine! As its brushes have self-cleaning features and its mop system has a self-drying feature, the actual maintenance and care of your Roborock Dyad Pro comes down to periodically washing the brushes and reattaching them. They simply pop in and out of their attachment mechanism.
After each use, you’ll also want to clean and rinse the dirt-collecting container and expel and rinse the dirty water reservoir. But that’s generally all the maintenance you’ll need to do! No more flipping the vacuum upside down to clean out the brushes while being unable to detach them easily or dealing with musty-smelling floor mops that require changing after each use.
Why the Dyad Pro Will Replace Your Existing Stand-up Vac
If you’ve been searching for your newest wet and dry vacuum for your cleaning arsenal, you can’t go wrong with the Roborock Dyad Pro, intended to tackle even the toughest stains while maintaining a small footprint in your house.
Combining this with its voice-over prompts and low-maintenance design without compromising on a supreme cleaning experience, the Roborock Dyad Pro offers everything you’ve been missing in a wet and dry vacuum and even things you didn’t know you needed.
